The Longest Word Ever

Due to some interesting reads from my friend's blog and the wonderful thing that we call "Google" (thanks, Maddie!), I have discovered that the longest word ever put into Oxford's Dictionary is "Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis." Yep. It's real. Apparently, the official meaning is a lung disease caused by the inhalation of very fine silica dust causing inflammation in the lungs. However, it is more commonly knows as, "I breathed in some crap and now I can't breathe." Or maybe it's smoke inhalation -- who knows, really?

It was really interesting because I downloaded the little audio clip that Wikipedia offers of the pronunciation of the word. It was quite entertaining as it was voiced by who I'm sure was a very intellectual, brilliant British man who simply had nothing better to do on a Saturday morning. But guess what? I've just created the longest word, which trums the Pneumono thing! Watch . . . . "Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis-ness."

How awesome am I?
