I read Anastasia's post on this, and just wanted to add my own opinion on this "issue".
First of all, I think the whole "Happy Holidays" thing is HIGHLY overrated. I can honestly say that if I was Jewish or Muslim or if I celebrated any other holiday besides Christmas, I wouldn't be offended if someone had the gall to wish me a Merry Christmas. First of all, if I was, say, Jewish, I would take their meaning to heart. Maybe they don't wish me a Merry CHRISTMAS, per se, but they mean that they want my winter season to be jolly and happy and what have you. Instead of people actually taking "Merry Christmas" to HEART, and appreciating somebody's kindness, people take it as a great offense. What has HAPPENED to the world? Do you know how many people don't even BOTHER to say ANYTHING to ANYONE this time of year?! Do you know that there are some people who don't get together with family or friends and spend their holidays alone? There are a lot more people like that than you might think. I think they would be just perfectly spiffy if someone wished them a happy ANYTHING.
All in all, I think we should stop focusing on the retarded (YES, Ana, I said RETARDED) "problems" and offensive crap and start worrying about being KIND to one another this season.

Merry Holidays (Switzerland)
Ben
Nope. I'm taking the high road. Just be sure to wish me Happy Holidays, okay?
HAPPY CHRISTMAS.
i TOTALLY agree with you. hell, i'm not even Christian and i agree with you. i mean, we do celebrate christmas, but even if i didn't i honestly wouldn't care. my friend doesn't celebrate christmas, and she is not offended at all if i say happy christmas, (although since i know her well by now, i usually say happy holidays but that's because i KNOW her, and that's way beside the point).
PC is great sometimes and a nuisance in others.
