This is probably my last blog of 2008, so I thought I'd describe to you my glorious Christmas Eve dinner, complete with pictures. That's right. I'm just SO cool like that.
Here is a wonderful picture of our place settings before the food is laid out.
Here is a picture of our first course -- this salad was amazing. It had mixed lettuce and greens with onions and sliced strawberries (which complimented it surprisingly well) and a sweet homemade poppy seed dressing, which was amazing.
Here is my choice dinner beverage. In case you can't figure it out, it's water, but I did also have a cup of homemade raspberry sherbet punch, which you can see in the corner of the photo.
Here is our second "course"... basically just what was handed out and eaten quickly after the salad and before the main course.
And, our final course, the main meal. It was lasagna, probably my least favorite Italian dish, but it was still delicious.
And for good measure, here is a picture I took of our Christmas loot before any of it was opened. All the presents put there before Christmas, and the gifts from parents to kids go in the back, and the Santa gifts usually come in big boxes in identical wrapping paper, which is always very fancy and colorful.
Well, anyway, I hope all of you have a fantastic New Year, and I hope you HAD a wonderful Christmas... I'm not exactly looking forward to the New Year, as our first biggies will be FINALS, which I'm not looking forward to (Darn you Spanish and Geometry!!!). However, I am going to go to bed early tonight and sleep in and be happy. Happy New Year everybody!
