Ugh.

It turns out that our harddrive crashed. So, we lost everything. All the saved Sims games, the last 2 years worth of pictures (including trips, color guard tournaments, and pix of people I never even get to see anymore . . .), any Sony Vegas vids I was working on . . . in fact, the only videos I have now are the ones posted on YouTube, and the ones on my iPod. Luckily, by the sheer work of God, I had just transferred all my writing onto a flash drive about two weeks before it crashed, so I still have all of that, thank God... but I have so much stuff. I would have had a total breakdown if I had lost all of that. You have no idea how many videos I was almost done with, and how hard and how long I had been working on them . . . oh yeah, and we lost all our music from iTunes. The only music we now have is the music on our iPods. I don't even want to think about the money we've lost.

So... it kind of puts a damper on the whole holiday break thing. Not to mention the fact that it has rendered the photo album I got for Christmas virtually useless... and the new Sims 2 expansion pack... but the album even more so. Also, I'm not sure if Sony Vegas will let me put it on another computer because they are REALLY anal about their stuff with the whole registration and activation codes and blah blah blah... they're sort of in kahoots with Neopets and Disney in the whole "ripping off" area...

But, we bought The Dark Knight and Kung Fu Panda today, as well as the new Hilary Duff perfume WHICH I got for 20 bucks, thank you very much, and I even had some money left on my JC Penney card!

It's been a very bittersweet past few days.

Anyway... think of something happy to cheer me up.
